Interior of church. Geographically, Llanddewi Brefi
is one of the largest parishes in Wales. It has a history that can be
traced to pre-Christian times. The Romans, Celts and Normans have all
left their mark here. |

Ogham Stones
The parish church at Llanddewi Brefi contains several
"ogham stones," thought to date from Celtic times. These inscribed
stones were probably used as grave markers. |

Obadiah Griffin - 1777
- 1870
Obadiah Griffin, son of Obadiah Griffin was born in Duchess Co., NY. He
married Hannah McIntyre, and removed from Nova Scotia to Canada West in
or about 1814. He remained about a year among his relatives and then
located in the Talbot settlement, Elgin Co., Ontario, where he died at
the age of 94.
